The 16th Annual HCZ Peace March

Harlem, New York [Wednesday August 11, 2010]

The Season has change this year in 2010, as the hcz peace march has just getting started.

The HCZ Peace March will start and end on 137^th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard all the way to 143^rd Street and Lenox Avenue Where the Harlem Armory Is.  There are over one thousand students and staff members in each different programs such as the Employment & Technology Center (ETC), Countee Cullen Community Center (CCCC), Truce, and Truce Fitness, Harlem Children’s Zone Community Center, Learn to Earn (LTE), & many more, they had shouted a chant such as “Running for school, Not for jail” and many more, they had so much fun.

When each program group had went inside at the Harlem armory they had sit in their own regular spots to see their own trademarks on the back of their t-shirts. Then they had a questionnaire sheet that they had to answer to. After that it was on for the show as many students perform on stage, then awards were given out to students, then they had a Harlem Children’s Zone Candle Light Memorial in remembrance to the love ones they’ve lost, and when it was all over the HCZ staff members had clean up and had sent every students at the Harlem armory back home.

There’s has been rapist that is going around the world and where reporters are searching for answers Who?, What?, When?, Where?, Why? & How?. You see teens like boys & girls that they get rape in a quick second and not worrying about themselves or whether their parents are worrying about them. Imagine yourself being the ones if you see adults that don’t know who you are, where you live or where you come from because rape is something that someone can attack you as your prime target and not knowing what’s going to come for you next. You heard it in news and you see it everywhere and anywhere you go there’s always a story behind it and to always know that GOD is there to protect you. You have a decision, and a choice to neither walk away from that person or to be with them forever. Where you see yourself behind bars and not knowing where your life has been gone to far for anyone else to be in so much trouble where teens are always hanging out in the streets and not knowing where they are going to. It always find out some way that teens could be in serious danger and not knowing it for themselves. There’s always gonna be some way that teens from 14-17 years of age that they will rape you and you’ll be gone before you know it for yourself. You need to be careful for yourself and knowing where you suppose to be and not to be rape by. You should always prevent yourself to not be rape by anybody or anyone.

A. P. Students At The Senior BBQ Party

[ Harlem, New York ] At A. Philip Randolph Campus High School it was 11am as students had arrived to their senior bbq as they were waiting for refreshments such as Hot Dogs & Burgers to be cooked as A. P. Staff members were serving them.

Ms. McShall and Ms. Hugh had given out senior yearbooks to students and for A. P. Students who were given out T-Shirts to students.

Later the A. P. Students had their own share of desserts such as cake and ice cream.

My Trip to Six Flags

(Harlem, New York-Thursday June 10, 2010)

It was 8:30am in the morning as the students had arrived to A. Philip Randolph Campus High School as they were waiting to swipe there I.D cards as they brought their parent consent forms and waiting for their names to be called to get their tickets to six flags.

It was 3 buses that I saw and all the students had got in, it’s an hour and a half or a two hour ride to New York all the way to six flags in Jackson, New Jersey. When they got there one of the deans Courtney had stop by three of the buses and were given further instructions of how six flags runs and how it goes.

During my six flags trip I had went some of the rides that I like including the carousel, parachutes, the great american scream machine, the big wheel and the blackbeards lost treasure train. I also went to the skull mountain as I see a scary pumpkin; ghost and I also walk around to the mountain. I also went to the sky drive as I saw many trees and rollercoaster rides while I was getting on.

I saw a six flags show presentation for the group of team green beach patrol were they talk about how to “reduce, reuse, and recycle”, going green for the community, environment and the entire world and to keep the pool clean.

But honestly for all the rides that I have went to I had never been scare in my life but is how you show that you are proven to be brave and courages and never doubt on yourself.

The Students had arrived back to school at 9:00pm.
